you can always check out their websites. the address and everything are nicely listed for you. spend some time, check their websites, most have photos, prices, services available n location. or go streetdirectory.com to see their locations in maps.

We need to start using that wonderful search button made available to us.
Heck, even a google search on "jamming studio in singapore" turned up soft's list as the second link.

This guy is a leach. I suggest a ban.

haha in the next few years, i think he'll slap his own forehead seeing these kinda threads. people gotta start somewhere. but, yeah its better to start upfront.

TS must be either very very very young, just starting to learn his instrument or has no friends into music playing...

Please don't get me wrong. I was new quite recently. What I have a problem with is how he doesn't even bother using google first.
Honestly, I frequent a number of forums and have developed a strong distaste for people who just open their mouths and expect to be fed. Even if we all go all out to help him, he won't learn much without lifting a finger. So I apologise if I am alone in this dislike.
I think claire's question about whether he's singaporean is quite funny, as we're trained to "do our homework".

Revelt: Hell, when I first started out music back in 06, I didn't even know that there was a local music forum, let alone a thread that shows a list of jamming/recording studios in Singapore. I wouldn't have thought of googling for that list.

Before you start suggesting throwing the ban hammer around, give him some time. Wait for him to truly show that he's leech and then consider punishing him. For all you know he may contribute more to this forum than you will if you give him a couple of months.

And if you detest such people, I suggest you not enter such threads in future.

Okay. I agree. I've been super cranky because I got exams round the corner, and I grew up on forums where we had to reply "google" to half the threads. Heh.
Anyway, no excuses. Sorry.

revelt all i wanted was people's opinion or recommendation. i don't get what's your problem with me? i picked up the guitar abt 9 mths ago, joined this forum about last mth. so will you cut me some slack bro?

Shamprophet: Well, perhaps this could be a learning experience for you the next time you post.

1) Learn to put a proper title to your topic. State what you want to say clearly on your title before elaborating further in the actual post. It's annoying to go to a thread not knowing what the topic is about, only to discover it is about something that you have no interest on, or know nothing about.

2) Learn to use the search function on Soft to see if you can find the topic (and answer) being posted earlier. Alot of the people who been around long enough gets really tired of seeing the same questions asked and repeating the same answer.

3) Learn to use Google. It is your friend.

Hey. I don't have a problem with you. Honest. I just got really annoyed that you didn't even bother trying a simple search on google before starting a thread with an ambiguous title. I apologise if I came off overly aggressive.

Anyway, do visit that thread, and good luck with your music. Do use google and the search function, and if all else fails, start a thread.
