I was merely drawing a comparison between Singaporeans and Canadians. I was not referring to any particular incident.

well, for me, i listen to acid jazz and deep house music. Sometimes, my class mates will take my phone or mp3 and play the songs. Then they will go like "EEEEE, techno!!!!" for deep house and "What kind of song is this? Sound very weird" for acid jazz. haha. Quite irritating because i think most people not too open to more underground genres of music. I agree that not everyone will like my kind of music, but it is very irritating when people condemn the kind of music you listen to. They make you feel as though you are the only person in the world that listens to that kind of music.

its not the race, culture or whatsoever...

every individual of the human race respond differently when comes to music, whether negatively or positively.....

depends very much on individual influences....we just have to respect..

take for example based on what I have personally experience before, playing "blues" to singaporean definitely have a negative response as compared to playing it to the americans who understand the heritage and culture & more....
