Does a slight scratch or dent bothers u?

if its new guitars i would go like FWAAAAH ZOMGWTFBBQ but 2 weeks later i will go wtheck..haha

for me , i would try to keep it as new as possible till its like too bad to save den i would relic it..

That's what makes it truly your guitar rite?

Unless it doesn't worsen over time and end up breaking. By all means bring the scars on! Why bother a relic'd one when you can have it done over time.

you guys should check out Tommy Emmanuel's battered acoustic. Don't think it bothers him or his sound.

vintage is the way to go. i agree with edder though. tommy emmannuel's acoustic is amazingly battered and yet, sounds better than the rest of us.

If I inflicted the ding, I'd be a little upset for awhile before getting used to it. If someone else inflicted a small ding, I'd be annoyed. If it is a big ding, I'll think twice about lending anything precious to that person again.

Usually it doesn't bother me, though it can affect resale value. All my guitars aren't expensive, so sometimes damage can affect me. But generally, I'm alright with dings, but cracks and stuff that could be major, I'd definitely get them repaired as soon as possible and if possible.

Well i mean i got my ESP RV and it has its fair share of scratches PLUS 2 chips that nearly tore me apart.
Well i mean if you look at it in another way you can never be to careful.Yet if you dont have such things it somewhat shows taht your not really using your guitar
=D hahahaha
