Hi, I have been following this thread & keeping silent because, like Mrs Koo have mentioned so many times (like a broken record), if it doesn't concerned us, we shouldn't be commenting.
This thread was brought to my attention by 1 of my students Ao Cheng, who happened to be 1 of Mrs Koo's EX-student (tho not even 1 lesson ever took place & pending fees to be refunded). I kept silent because I don't wanna be assuming & I really REALLY hoped Mrs Koo will come forward & give a good explanation for her "misdeeds".
But alas, all everyone read was repetition of lame excuses which none of it explained allegations of your forged qualifications or even about your dad. Nobody here really wants to hear about what you've done for the past few weeks. You were paid to conduct the lessons on time, so don't sound like you are the victim, having to do makeup lessons.
It was so déjà vu after reading the thread up to this point, because a similar incident happened in a car club forum. Just some months ago, the moderator of this forum was accused of taking close to $30k payment of car insurance premium from about 20 members & didn't proceed to do the renewals for them. These poor members, thinking their insurance have been renewed, were driving around on the road without a valid insurance coverage.
Similar to this thread, angry members started a thread on him & beckoned other victims to come forward to relate their stories. There were some members (his forum buddies) spoke in his defence, telling the victims not to jump into conclusions, maybe he ran into some cash-flow problem. But someone caught him in a workshop, installing ICE (in-car-entertainment) worth over $10k. Hmm is that where the members' $ have gone to?
Like Mrs Koo, he appeared in the thread to appease the victims, stating he is already raising funds to pay the members, some partial, some in full, please do not post unfavourable comments about him anymore, esp those not involved. Following that, he had the cheek to appear at the car meetup. When some members saw him & wanted to ask when will they get their $ back, he jumped back into his car & fled. In the moment of haste, he knocked a guy down & that guy was hospitalised with a fracture. Great, another charge added on.
Must be wondering what happened to the conman? He is now squatting in jail, with over 10 charges filed against him. This guy wasn't a new member in the forum. He was an active member for 2yrs & has earned a significant high profile by being the top poster. Members ask him for advice & feedback all the time, who would have thought he would do a thing like this?
Pretty much sums up the message I'm trying to drive across. Ao Cheng was unlucky & learnt his lesson the hard way. But oh well, he was smarter the 2nd time round, he came to check out my home studio 1st before we sealed the deal!
