You have a good taste. Billy Joe got his distortion by using only his Marshall plexi amps, with volume in 10. Not very practical, nor good to your hearing. But an excellent crunch sound nonetheless.NewGuy said:BTW... I like green day sound too... u guys know what distortion they using?

Yea, with the level on full at drive at zero. He used it as a boost.

Well, the purists would tell you nothing compares to the real thing
But it's definitely one of the best overdrive effects out there.
