Do you display the S'pore flag come National Day?

  • Yes, every year. It's against the law not to do so right?

how many of us here display the national flag outside our apartment window come National Day, to show everyone that we are patriotic? do we need to do so to show patriotism? well, someone wrote in to the papers today to say that it's a dying trend & that people here do not perpetuate civic practices...

yea i dunno if we have the flag or not.
haha we haven't been dislaying it for a few years already.
don't bother to...

i have much respect for our national flag is it is a state symbol but people in general do not know how much respect they should observe- hanging undergarments next to it reflects our education in this light.

also, there are many of us who are equally patriotic but do not wish to display the flags for personal reasons (hence we do not do so) but the RC people would do it for block decor which isn't representative of the residents' ideals.

my flag got eaten up by storeroom insects. can't hang that out! my mum said it's illegal to hang out your flag if its in a bad condition. and also, hanging it wrongly can get you fined too!

when i was in primary 1, all the neighbours in my housing estate where like excited to put up the SG flag outside, at the corridor, now im 16, and only 3-6 of em bother to place em
