Disc Jockey.

Well, I just got myself into creating house, trance and some hip hop beats and I enjoy it really much. Then, I just got hooked on Disc Jockeying in clubs and stuff.

I have a good prior knowledge on eq and crossfading and stuff and was going to get some hardware as I got the software part covered.

So, I was wondering, as newbie as I am to this, I wanna try it out and mix my beats and stuff with any others but where do I start? Should I get those turntables first? Mixers I got them but it has about 16 channels and I know thats not suitable.

My budget is about $300-$500. Ideas?

Also, I just came across a company dealing with DJ's stuff. Numark. Anybody heard of them?

Is that available in Singapore?

I just found that Numark is available at Sinamex but havent found out an outlet for Behringer's products.

I'm looking at saving up for two things.

BCD2000 - $219.99 - http://www.behringer.com/BCD2000/

Numark Total Control - $535.00 - http://www.numark.com/totalcontrol

As you can see, I'm not looking for the traditional vinyl set to spin on. I'm looking for it to work with my mp3s and the loops that I have created, so a controller + mixer was what I'm looking for.

Any ideas?

Rane Serato Scratch Live

Dude, if u want to keep using vinyls but in mp3 format, u should use this, Rane Serato Scratch live. Even the house, trance dj are using it. I'm a hip hop dj, i used it wen it fers started. It makes me very happy. I dont need to bring case of vinyls anymore to shows and gigs.. Juz me, ma lappie and the SeratoSL interface. Oh ya, u need a laptop for it..
