I'm just stating a general consensus about how pups are just a small part of the tonal equation....you'd have to take into account other important factors such as amps, the wood of your guitar, resonance, effects and so on. This is just to help in case anyone has a mistaken conception that pups will do much to improve tone but they are just tone enhancement tools and will not change the entire equation.
