Fantom and GW are above my budget Z_Z.
Im quite contended with the JUNO G, looks compact, light, but just a bit disappointed with the keys and the feel, which are a bit cheap...but otherwise the sounds were cool! and with the facility of SRX expansion i think i have just what i need...
Thanks again.
prkravi, Silverbeast pointed out the key question you need to ask yourself - what do you want to use the keyboard for. Your choice of the type of keyboard will depend a lot on that question.
agree, but i guess its two different things altogether Silver, im of the opinion that with an arranger keyboard i will always fallback on auto stuff and never learn to create my own..im a bit lazy you see so i need to be pushed to perform, so for a guy like me Synths are a better choice, since i will create my own variations, fill ins and in reality learn more.
Yes, they are different categories of instrument. The main joy of playing an arranger is the realtime performance and interactiveness. Notably, I marvel Getai keyboard players.
I'm not trying to convince you to get an arranger. But literally, you have pointed out things that an arranger does - "...create own variations, fill ins..."
Well, just go ahead to purchase your choice keyboard and play!...you may have probably done so Enjoy your keyboarding journey!
silverbeast, I may be wrong, but I think prkravi meant that using an arranger HINDERS him from creating his own fill-ins and variations. In an arranger, there are up to 4 different fill-in for a style (depending on brand). That's still limitation for a composer.
Synths and arrangers are 2 entirely different categories that cannot be compared side-by-side. Apples and oranges. Each has own strengths and limitations, and obviously different usage.
thanks guys for being such support, well silver, havent bought one yet ;-)
Now this crazy mind is oscillating between KORG M 50 and the JUNO G!!
Guys - opinions welcome...
time is a very dynamic thing Silver...whats in today is out tomorrow.
So even if i get a KORG OASYS, over a couple of years i'll be looking at something else...
Get PA800. I have been a fan of PSR's for too long(10 years) after that switched to korg and its a whole new world out there.. If you are looking for SA voices look for Tyros 2 used.
in case you dont get that,, PA 800 IS a keyboard that you would never regret.. I have a PA50 and have played pA800 for hours at city music and loved every mood swing. just dont have Money for it.. I owned the whole list of previous generation PSR, the X40's and x50's and honestly i feel Korg has an edge when it comes to SOUNDS. .. if you buy yamaha get only tyros. Close your eyes and choose PA 800. its worth the money.
Wish to thank all of you friends out here. Finally booked the KORG M50 73keys.
From the PSRS900 to the MM6 to the JUNOG to M50..!! Phew that was a lengthy ordeal, but very useful, learning a lot of stuff on the way..and made some good friends also.
The board should be coming this weekend..will post pics once arrived.
Thanks!!
