Different brands of LP

which LP do you guys think it is worth the money more....

there's no substitute for the tone from a gibson les paul, its something one of a kind, you cant recreate it by making a copy les paul.

though i've tried 2 of esp's ltd Eclipse guitars, like ec1000, ec400at, their tone is nowhere near a gibson les paul's, but they're still good guitars.

Heard from my knowledgable guitar diehard friend that Gibson guitars nowadays had a dip in workmanship compare to the old days and is payin for their brand rather than their workmanship.

i still think that the big two companies still churn out high quality instruments.

top guitarists are not too brand conscious. they know what a good guitar is all about. when gibson and fender was at their low point, they were focusin more on volume than on quality. paul reed smith was just a simple workshop but all they came out with was high quality stuff, which spread thru word of mouth in the industry. that prob kicked the big names in the ass.

anyways, what are the "old days" to him?

epi and gibson, nowadays, you gotta check for dings and errors in the workmanship, and try em out before buying em blindly
