Difference in Overdrive pedals?

what is the difference, in terms of the type of sound, between a TS7, TS808, TS9, OD3, SD1 and a BD2?

i haven't had a lot of 1st hand experience on those pedals but i heard from randolf the BD2 is most probably the odd one out as it uses a variation of a fuzz circuit...

but how bout the rest?

Usually it's symmetrical/assymetrical clipping....with or without mid hump...amount of gain....i'll let ah seng and bruark the pros fill you in on these :)

omg not one of these threads again.

I think I can answer this for the most part.. pls do a search on soft, much less on google as bro edder will point out.

heh

erm... if i haven't done a search, i wouldn't have dug up that thread which was 1 year old and be ignored by every1...

if u could do a better job at searching, please at least link me some url.. if not, there're a 101 million more ways to increase post count..

srry if i sound harsh, but i'm quite irritated at seeing posts like, "i could ans that, but please a do search 1st

i see 10× more of this kind of posts than retarded threads asking hot questions over and over again

Here's a fairly comprehensive article:

It's hard to describe minor differences in tone though aint it. How do Macdonald's fries taste in comparison to KFC's? They do taste different, but hard to properly describe that difference to a person who hasn't tried both.

"I think I can answer this for the most part.. pls do a search on soft"

"www.google.com bro i hate to sound harsh too. but dont be lazy."

forums are for stuff you ask for deep-down-heart life experiences. This isn't hypocritical, this is being polite. Stuff you can't find on google, ask here lor. No one's stopping you.

But on topic, do check out blueark's link.

you have about, what? 900+ plus posts? I think by know if you're fairly aquainted with the fx forums, stuff that's widely available online IS there for a reason. to prove im not a troll, im giving you several links to save you all the trouble that google-friendly folks go through.
