Hi Peeps, I am a polytechnic student new to the area of sound engineering and I have some questions about DI boxes. Sometimes I tap sound from an audio mixer and there is a buzz in it. I was told DI boxes could reduce the sound. However, there are the battery operated ones and passive ones. Hence, here are my questions:
1) What is the difference between battery operated ones and passive ones?
2) I was told passive ones may not work well with long distance cables (150m), is that true?
3) I was recommended Radial passive DI boxes. Which are the models with a splitter output (sometimes I need to feed to 2 recording devices)?
Hope you guys can help me with my doubts. Thanks
