Davis is going at $70 for both humbuckles to get changed.. Beez is $55

hmm... DIY is best... u get hands on experience + its fun...

if u don't want, and u feel rich, just walk into any shop and ask them do for u... price comes later... :p

cuz there's more or less only 1 way to solder stuff.... rosin core + solder gun... :lol:

<edit>

BTW, what has this got to do with swee lee :?:

<edit edit>

btw btw... its humbuckers not humbuckles or hamburgers... :wink:

but hu is better.. ppl in davis or beez ...?? cuz davis ask me leave my guitat overnight.. n its lik 1k item palce in their shop... plus they don show me when they cahnge it.. wat if smth is spoil n they never tel me..

beez will show me whiole he cahnge...

hi Jeremy Lau.

for your info.. it does not matter whether if the pickups are humbuckers
or single coils..my charges for wiring of pickups are very reasonable.

I DO NOT CHARGE S$55 DOLLARS AS MENTIONED BY YOU!
PLEASE CONSULT ME PERSONALLY BEFORE YOU POST ANY PRICING WITH
REGARDS OF MY CHARGES FOR PICKUPS REWIRING.

by the way, there is no such thing as BETTER between me and Davis.
Jeremy , the decision is yours.

i am now working for GUITAR77 .

You can still address me as the former YAMAHA GUY!

thank you.
Beez.

Thank you James.

everything is fine now.

Jeremy.. you got a P.M.

happy new year everyone!

beez.

Erm, man, its more exp to DIY if you are a freshie at it. Chance of damage and cost of equipment would be more than bringing it to Davis.

last time i when to davis to change both my pickups, they do it for me for free and change a new set of strings for me for free also...

guitar connection also does pickups change.. and they're honest about any mistakes they may make is is like almost never.. they charge me 25 per pickup and its done is less than an hour.. so yeah...

Thats why its fun. And thats why its worth it. :wink:

how much is a 30W solder pen btw? o_O

I use a 60w ... its faster, much faster but more care needed... plus i learnt the hard way that you need flux. Either in the solder or as a seperate grease.

Flux is good, flux is your 2nd best friend after your sponge. :)
