Crap!! My Presonus Firepod

This is Crap!! My Presonus Firepod blew on me. Was just using it 2 days ago, and today when i turn it on, there was no power at all. Now i have to take it to repair!! This is Crap!!!
I have all along been a supporter of Presonus, since my Presonus ACP22 Compressor have lasted till now for 6 years and is still working. When i flip over the Firepod, i saw the sign "Made in China". When i flip over the ACP22, I saw the sign "Manufactured in USA". Guess that's the reason why!! This sux!!

i guess Made in China products have the power supply problems.

I heard Digiesign 002 has similiar probolem

erm bong.. firepod is a mic preamp... no software emulation for that.

and yeah I owned a presonus bluetube dp. was super turned off by the "Made In China" thing too. i'm thinking there's issues with the power adaptor.

nowadays with competitiveness, all factories have shifted to
China, hard to avoid the MADE IN CHINA label.

the only way for manufacturers to improve is
when consumers feedback

Goodness gracious Broadcast Asia did not charge me a cent for repairing even though mine was 2 months after warranty..
After such a long time of not been able to produce, i'm finally back!!!

to the 7 different ppl (including me) who replied, and loads of others who didn't. it's best they repaired for free otherwise they'd lose some reputation over a small thing...

say "gone case" after warranty : all of us would have think twice about getting presonus products in future if i'm not wrong most of the local presonus products is "made in china". they make no loss.

repair 2 months after warranty : for the loss of one power adapter.. but feedback :smt098 :smt098 :smt098
