Cow Bells and Agogo Bells

I'm thinking of buying a cow bell or agogo bell for my drum kit,
so i can make the kit a 'lil more funky.
anyone has bells? where do u attach it on the kit?
What are a good buy?
I only know of swee lee and yamaha that sells these stuffs.

get kenny aronoff meinl handhammered ones.. its chrome plated.. just attach a little tissues and tape em underneath.. solid shit. its about 79 bucks for 1 of those in swee lee i think. agogo, i'd prefer to go with the LP's at yamaha.. they got those dry agogos i think.. 3 of them with different tones. I personally like the granite blocks though.. 200+ for 5 of them.. really nice sound..

i know swee lee has quite a few of cowbells, starts from 30 plus i think.
anyone uses other stuff? tamborines?

yep i've used the tambourine as well. it can be attached to the hi-hit (and so can the cowbell and agogo bells), or on top of the bass drum.

and i like to keep a shaker handy for some songs where the shaker can substitute the hi-hat.

for cowbells, if a solid LP one is a bit too costly to start, try meinl...they make good second grade percussions...hope that helps

hmm not too common i guess, since some elctronic kits have a cowbell preset. well the hi-hat stand and the bass clamp are the most common. some people attach them to foot pedals too...

It will not damageur stand but the issue here is whether the cowbell will get in ur way when u hit the hi-hats. 8)

the cowbell holders sell for 50 bucks if im not wrong, im quite sure its 50bucks that day i saw it at sweelee... yea and they attach on like a cymbal clamp would i.e u attach the cowbell holder on the cymbal stand... as for cowbells, the pearl ones are like 40-50, but dont sound that good, the LP ones sound btr IMO... the pearl one's sound too cheap, like ur whacking those cheap kinda metal... but LP really puts a lot of quality into their cowbells

lol, cheap can compare withr anking sell them at $12. duno leh. i save up lah, get god ones better. actually imo i feel smaller ones by lazer sound gd leh
