Does cort 200 have a solid back? I called up swee lee and asked but they told me it has a solid top and laminated back. But on the cort website it states that Cort earth 200 uses Solid Mahogany for its back. http://www.cort.co.kr/english/products/acoustics/view.asp?product_id=36

Is the cort 200 value for money? Swee lee quoted me $440 'after discount'. Thanx

How much for the ibanez aw200. I'm thinking of getting a AW800 from lutheir musci but price is steep man. Poor student here, sigh.

Wow, thats pretty good deal, its retailing at swee lee for 642 bucks. so i guess it going to cost me $500+ due to their exorbitant pricings. Bet you got it during the sale

I intended to get maestro guitar but there seems to be a recent price increase of their guitars which doesn't make their guitars worth the buy. The maestro solid top starts from around 400+ bucks in their new listing price.
Might be getting a custom acoustic FG710e with solid top and back from city music. It’s selling $350 during the sale.
How is custom acoustic? Worth getting?

uhm... i guess my best piece of advise to you is to evaluate what you wanna achieve with the guitar and the $$$ you're willing to put in and if you have plans to sell it in a year or two. some brands will fetch a higher $$$ while others not.

after that, go play em all and most importantly... use your ears and how comfortable the guitar is to you.

All the laminated/solid/plastic whatever means nothing if you don't like how it feel and how it sounds.

Thanx alot of the suggestions! Will be going down tml to visit various shops. Budget is probably around $500. Don't intend to get something new any sooner unless of course i contacted GAS. Haha! Thanx again guys
