Dear readers

i'm sure most of u have read my post on being Disappointed with MUSICAVENUE RECORDS....

I'm a freelance musician, i know the law and of course i know what i am doing...As Jaye, the one and only person running Musicavenue Records, said that i was spoiling her company's name, giving false statement on she promising me Free vocal lessons..Well,NOT true....But would you think that i want to get myself into Hot soup for no reason?

For your information, i am no longer interested in MusicAvenue Records..

Jaye, the person directing the company, claims that the company DOES NOT keep their performer's or composers' compositions WITHOUT permission from them..Well, how true is that? Especially when all things are being managed by one person alone, no one knows what is going at the back of the scene...

Adding on, i would like to say that i have NOT A SINGLE intention of tarnishing her company's name..But as a Singapore Citizen, i feel that i have the right to highlight to fellow musicians of Recording companies like that..

Furthermore, as for her language, well, how good can a person with sec1,2 qualification be in their language, be it spokened or wriiten?:D

I really do hope Fellow musicians will feel my concern for the music scene, and say a word of Justice.

Best regards

Stevenson

Erm, sorry doode [sic]. Before you accuse others of bad English, please make sure yours is perfectly sound. If not, it makes your case look very weak...

..

Instead of venting your frustration here, you should report the matter to CASE, or even COMPASS, if they have authority over this.

State your greviances in an objective manner pls, lest it sounds like a smear campaign.

I've PM'ed you about this when you posted that earlier thread, you didn't follow thru? :x

Hey dude, let the matter rest since it's not going to put you in a particular good light. Especially since the parties involved were you and here. I don't think there's much legal ground you can dig up either, unless there's some black and white involved.

Anyway, I guess Soft members should be more careful about dealing with companies etc. Do a proper background check to ensure you know what you are putting yourself through.

Dude, how about copyrighting your song up asap. Like recording a quick demo down with a proper score or tabalature and the mail it to yourself in an envolope.

Like that you have physical proof that you wrote the song. Its how most people copyright their songs anyway. Unless the Jaye person is using your song for some production now you've really lost nothing.

So go copyright you song now AND MOVE ON...

I don't see how you thread is helping yourself or US...

But yeah sure, gave me a lil heads up about new and upcoming local labels.
Thanx. But seriously, I'll say move on. Do what you like, musically.

Ps: after you've copyrighted your song, please let us all hear it. So we'll at least know what the big fuss is about anyway...

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention do not open the envolope afterwards.
I know it goes without saying but hehe... just to be sure. hahaha

stevenson, i locked your previous thread, stating the reason and course of action for you to consider. if you feel that you are being disadvantaged, please follow up with legal procedure.
