oops sorry blueark, i didn't catch managed to see your post(no offence). Actually I have a range of boss pedals, DS-1,SD-1, DS-2, DD-3 and GCB-95 and of course the Zoom A2, but I am also planning to get an RC-20XL, so how do you suggest I go about arranging my pedals? Thanks. :D

Oops, forgot to specify the order, I put my GCB-95 DS-1 --> SD-1 --> DS-2 --> DD-3. and now I have a problem of placing the A2....

The rest of the chain seems ok, so if you place the zoom anywhere along this chain, the problem is the tonesuck? Am I right to say this?

LOL...sad sad..nobody wan help me solve my problem. :cry:

I hazard a guess that the manual or emailing zoom will help. Guessing there's a section on mixing digital with analog.

What are you using ur zoom for?

The usual way to hook up is wah -> overdrive -> distortion -> amp sim/preamp/amp (send) -> chorus -> delay -> poweramp/clean amp/amp (return)

If your zoom is amp sim (which is what i suppose you use it for) then put it in the amp sim location.

Ya, the main problem is tonesuck, as well as the contirbuting of more noise to the amp as well, those hissing sound, I use the A2 just to simulate some light acoustic effects on my guitar. :D

The A2 is actually for acoustics right? Ok the tonesuck is when bypassed, that can be fixed with a true bypass box. As for any tonesuck or noise with the effect in use, you can try placing it at different parts of the chain to see if it helps. Otherwise, you can get a 2 loop bypass box or a switcher so that the A2 is completely isolated from the other pedals.

Meaning:
Guitar->(loop1)->GCB-95 DS-1 --> SD-1 --> DS-2 --> DD-3->amp
Guitar->(loop2)->A2->amp

Something like this:

This one has a feedback loop too, just ignore the 3rd footswitch and the knob.

As an alternative to mine, Tymusiccenter carries loop-master bypass boxes.
This would probably be what you're looking for:

yea thanks blueark for the advices, I think I may probably go for the bypass box by ty musiccentre, it may very well solve my problem. Thanks. :D

No prob. Theirs are cheaper than mine, good place to start if you just need some simple standard options. If you need more complicated stuff or customisation you can look for me.
