i would like to invite you to attend an upcoming performance formulated as part of my Associate Artist Research Programme with The Substation.

DATE: 16th March (Saturday)
TIME: 8pm
VENUE: The Substation Theatre
entry by donation

collapse is a multi-disciplinary performance revolving around a future where the work of "The Artist", who implements a new experimental policy, allows convicts if arrested, the option to return back to society and lead their life as usual with the exception that the general public is granted the right of being executioners and will not be charged if they murdered the accused. In collapse, "The Subject" is arrested for murder and opts to be sent back into society. He finds himself in a new lease for life only to be involuntarily hunted and pressured into repenting for his one crime.

collapse is a meditation on the individual and freedom of thought.

the narrative's core has been presented in other projects including, "inside the subject," which was an installation presented by Institute of Contemporary Art Singapore, in collaboration with anGie seah and Mohamad Riduan and "instructions to build a collapsible universe (minus the annoying people)," a performance by OFFCUFF presented at Lit Up Festival 2012.

collapse is a performance featuring Misha'al Syed Nasar, Suhaili Safari, Andy Yang, Cheryl Ong, Luqman Hakim, Matin Fellani, Mohamad Riduan, Shahila Baharom and Wu Jun Han.

there will be a post-show dialogue for this performance.

on behalf of the team, thank you for reading this and we hope to see you at the theatre!
