even if the COE is $2, you gotta keep in mind the number of ERP gantries are rising.. so, it doesn't make much of a difference if you travel to the city alot..

The 2 bucks will probably only save you 15k. Consider all the other taxes to pay as well as ERP and... You will realize your pocket is actually still burnt.

haha in singapore, with or without COE, pockets will burn when it comes to buying a car. what with all the road taxes and erps and parkings and all that stuff. i guess with COEs going at 2bucks it just makes the pocket burn less badly haha.

Dun get it wrong. The $2 COE is not for those who rush down to buy cars after the bidding result is out. It's for those who bidded before the result was out.

Those who rush down to buy cars now, have to bid for the next COE which is abt 2 weeks time. Dun think can get it at $2 already since MANY new buyers will be bidding too.

But some car agents may have bidded this $2 COE under their own name, waiting to transfer to new car owner. Lucky these buyers.

The government has a plan lol cos when everybody is using a blackplate car,the road tax will increase because the road tax for a red plate car(weekend car) and a black plate car is a few hundreds dollar difference and also tempting everyone to buy a car and get more money from the erp and other road taxes but sadly this will also make the streets more congested
