Cocobolo wood

I was down at guitar connection today and I noticed to very interesting necks hanging on the shelf. Kelvin told me it was cocobolo wood which is quite unusual to see around here.

just want to ask around if anyone has experience with this wood for a neck? I've only read that some Taylor guitars use this wood for their body. also, any idea if any guitar parts manufacturer makes these kind of necks for strats?

Basically its something like a cheaper an alternative to Brazillian Rosewood? thats quite interesting to note. I'm interested but it seems so hard to match on a strat body
