Listening to the soundclip I can understand how most people may think that's the sound of a distortion pedal but imho dats the sound of an articulate and tasteful player using medium output humbucker and neck single coil pups into a modified SD1 kicking a tube head driving a 4 x 12 cab setup. The compression of the clip sounds post produced. Nice.
