clueless bout sound

Hi guys,i've got a fuzz factory pedal. It plays well on my peavy 65 watt studio 112 amp as well as the marshall 30 watts amp at olando studio. However, whenever i go for gigs with those marshall stack amps, the sound tends to be extremely thin and trebly as opposed to the normally thick and fuzzy tone, and i've turned up the bass already. Whats wrong? Do i need a noise supressor? what can i do to beef up the tone?

if its the FF we are talking about. its a monster of a fuzz. gotta really mess around with it to find the so called "heaviness" in it. if this helps, my settings are:
0-being the least, 10-being the max
volume: varies
comp: 2 - 2.5
gate: 2 - 2.5
drive: 9 - 9.5
stab: max

for me, its gives a very heavy fuzz, especially when chording.
u also have to understand that its a fuzz, so it may sound extra trebly or extra muddy, so uve gotta really tweak it to get what u want.

yeah avidavis mine setting was exactly like urs. Its perfectly fine at home and at studio,i do get that heavy, really nice tone. Also,I do crank my vol up at the studio, its the same vol as at gig. Not really sure..maybe it doesnt work well with the marshall stack? rahsss...

ah i see, then ud have to mess ard with the amp that u will be using.
also the guitar, string gauges "usually" have an effect to the tone that will be produced with the fuzz.
im using .10s on my mustang. personal experience: fuzzes are something that will take time to tweak and its definitely a different dimension from a distortion. a lot of experimentation is needed.
If im not wrong, fuzzes vary from the type of amp used. have to find that sweet spot to work hand in hand.

ITS THE MARSHALL.. Period..

Usually at gigs you will see either the MG series, or the AVT/VS series..
They really lack mids and bass to me.. Especially the AVT, I have to turn the bass and mid FULL and the treble ZERO on the clean channel, to get a sound that I usually like (even then it is still disappointing)..

You want fat? It can't do that.. You want crunch? It sounds weak.. You want a fuzz massive wall of sound? Try on a different amp instead.. I really hate the fact that the cleans aren't clean at all, even offering a "Gain" knob for the clean channel..

Moreover, fuzzes are very responsive to the amps used.. Match it on one amp, it will sound like heaven.. On another, it will sound horrid..
