yup, city music sale is the other SALE event that many of us do look forward to. some recommendations/ discussions here
Computer dweebs...
-there are indeed some of us who prefer to plug our guitars into the computer instead of an amp simply beacause the variety offered in the software is value-for-money. today's software tonal manifestations are also getting better so if you are such an individual, be sure you have Line6's Toneport GX ($85) on your acquisition list
Pedals
-some recommended Line6 Tonecore pedals:
*Uber Metal ($130 for all you heavy metal maniacs)
*Echo Park ($195 digital delay for those who get bored easily; from simple applications to some sc-fi applications)
*but the talk now is VOX's V847 ($90)- recommended for those who wish for a no-frills unit, beginners or pros alike
Multi-FX
-Line6's Floor POD ($245) is a fine product but i'd recommend the ZOOM G7.1ut ($345) which has a more organic tonal response which might be attributable to the on-board pre-amp tube (yes, there's a tube in here!)
