hahas. nope , i hate it. there's one from my school and my friend told me that during the live show , 1/3 of the audience comes from my school.

IMO, I think these competitions always grant the winner fame for a short period of time. They never really go far do they?

Sometimes I wonder if these competitions are good or bad, u win the competition, u sign a contract with them, u cant freelance perform, and if they dont give u opportnities to perform, u will fade to oblivion. All the past winners like all gone without much of a trace. Esp the superband contestants. Its just a gimmick to promote the music sch of the judges, and to earn your sms votes money

the previous one, the guy Renfred, who wasn't the champ, is obviously now more popular. he's in bus stop ads, in tv drama serials, and performs more than ever. where did the champ go? haha...

it is a platform that gives you max exposure. whether you become popular after the competition is still very much up to the individual.

some are just in for the fun and have no intention to go into the artiste life.

i am wondering if any SOFTies took part and how was their experience?

Never... They'll come and go... Think sg idol... Singapore's media isn't big enough for them to last for a long time, unless they keep doing something fresh...publicity stunts... like what those americans can...
