changing of pickups

hi all! just wanna ask a question.

im currently using an ESP B-10. im thinking of changing my P pickups to jazz ones in order to improve the sound. do you guys think its worth it? or advisable to do so?

if yes, where can i get them changed?

Any reason why you would want to change the P Pickups to J Pickups? Wouldn't it be easier to change it to another different set of P Pickups if you are unhappy with the stock pickups. To change to J Pickups would involve routing the bass.

Yupps. Changing pickups that can fit in the original pickup routing is easy. But to route the bass for different type of pickup, its going to cost quite a bit and the changes are not reversible. So its advisable only if you know exactly what you want to achieve by this.

i own the exact same bass you own . HAHA , trust me , get an exact P pickup instead of a J pickup . why spend more $$ to cut lobang in your bass man .

as for pickup choice , i recommend EMG P pickup , solid stuff , got pre amp somemore . you can get them at DAVIS GUITAR

old thread but...any idea how much the Pbass emg or the PJset is selling at in Davis? looking to upgrade my bass

it's around $160 for the EMG P Set with setup at davis if i'm not wrong.
