if you have an expensive super awesome guitar, then changing the color could be cool to make it unique for you
but a regular guitar say epiphone, LTD or something like that, I'd say not worth it because the paintjob could cost as much or close the the actual price of the guitar itself
I have sent one of my guitars to a car shop for experimentation. a little too thick and I had trouble fitting parts like pots back into the guitar. I ended up with a lot of unexpected paint chips caused by me trying to force them into their respective holes. I know it's mostly my fault for doing that but let this be known that car re-sprayers do not know how to finish a guitar. they are not trained to do that.
He is doing/had done a repaint on an Orville Les Paul.Maybe can ask for quotation.Thats for really tedious ones cause les pauls have binding which are harder to work one.
