what kind of weird summon is this? cats not allowed inside and outside of homes? :? so from now on no one's allowed to keep cats as house pets? but about the poo issue i step on more dog poo than anything else. they should be tracking down irresponsible pet owners instead of placing summons on cat owners. what will happen to the cats when they get to SPCA since cats cannot be kept as house pets? put down?

it depends, SPCA will see wat kind of breeds of cat coz some are opt for adoption...if those type tat are not nice nor cute that are not up for adotion they will put to sleep...how do i know, coz my own darn fren work there b4.....ironically, SPCA stands for Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals....
So putting them down to sleep....is not cruel? don tell me is for their own good?

sebenarnya singaporean ni mengada ngada lah, i mean some of the singaporean ah, mengada giler punya... itu complain ini complain kepala pitok betul! inikan pula government nak saman kalau kita bela kucing kat rumah? dengan alasan poyo ... "jangkitan terhadap manusia" .. bapak segala lame siak. asal tak banned jer daging khinzir tu, ada jugak kuman, banned dari dibawa masuk ke singapura, melarang rakyatnya makan daging khinzir sebab risiko jangkitan tetap ada apa. bukan khinzir jer, ayam, daging pun ada jangkitan. kucing kalau bersih, aku rasa takda masalah, especially kucing rumah ... dijaga dengan rapi, sure takda jangkitan.

My cat didn't take a piss on the wall of my block, my cat didn't take a shit in the playground floor, my cat didn't bark at me when i came home and scared the shit out of everyone, my cat didn't go for walks and walk their fat asses around, my cat wouldn't even move it's fat ass, if anyone complained about it while it was alive, i kill them!! I KILL THEM I TELL YOU!!!

I think you got complained. It's bullshit la, putting restrictions like these. I've seen people bring their dogs down without leashes(an offence), keep more than 1 dog, also an offence, keep huge dogs that are not meant for HDB flats, an offence.

My point, i don't know what the heck i'm saying but, keep your cat at somewhere for awhile, then take it back after the check.

Actually, Singaporeans are very the complain alot, small thing oso complain, i mean some of the singaporean ah, small thing make big fuss like fuck. this complain, that complain, pitok head!!(haha what the heck is pitok) Now the government wants to fine us for keeping cats at home? With a stupid reason "spread diseases to humans".. No idea what the next sentence says.. Why not just ban pork, it also bears germs, just ban it from entering singapore, dont let singaporeans eat pork because of the risk of catching something. Wait, might as well make that all meats, chicken, beef etc... If a cat is clean, i feel that there is no problem, especially domesticated ones... If it's cared for well, sure no illnesses one ...

wow semangat kau translate. used to have 9 cats running around my house, 2 fell out of the window, a few died, a few ran away and never come back, only 2 survived, living with my aunt now. but if we give to SPCA and they put some breed for adoption, wouldn't it defeat the purpose of us surrendering our cats to them since we can't keep em at HDB flats?

I know a lot of ppl are frustrated/ angry with the SPCA cos they find it hypocritical that the society is putting the animals to sleep. However, there is only SO much they can do because more and more pet owners nowadays are being VERY irresponsible and simply ABANDON their pets whenever the novelty wears off.

Did you know that around 35 innocent pets are abandoned each day?

Did you know that over 1,000 pets are heartlessly dumped each month?

In 2005, more than 10,000 animals were left to die on the streets by their irresponsible owners.

SPCA desperately needs funds and donations - otherwise, what are they going to do with all these animals?? They are running out of space and money. The problem is getting so bad that they have to put down almost ALL of the animals receieved within 48 hours REGARDLESS how "cute" they are!

I agree, this is VERY upsetting, but where else can they put the animals? If you want to help the animals, please donate the the SPCA or help out as much as you can - also, PLEASE DO NOT DUMP YOUR ANIMALS.

Can't they bury them instead? It'll do the earth good too. Many many many years later they'll become fossil fuels.
