Just wondering. I know this issue has been over long ago, 12 years ago to be exact, but it seems to be bothering me.
Personally, I feel that the old Cannibal Corpse sounded better. Chris Barnes' vocals had more of the feel and art of it. It sounds richer and deeper. He captured the idea of the songs better in some way. But Corpsegrinder just sounds as if he's trying to scream his lungs off. At least that was the impression he gave me. Also, I've noticed that Chris Barnes' vocals range is lower than that of Corpsegrinder's. And the instrumentals seem to click with Chris Barnes' vocals more. It was kind of a pity that Cannibal Corpse kicked him out supposedly due to "musical indifferences".
And well, I feel that Six Feet Under doesn't sound as good as the original Cannibal Corpse because the instrumentals aren't as heavy, distorted and it just lacks the X factor somehow.
I really miss the original Cannibal Corpse.
