Can you bring back guitar strings from other countries?

Have anyone tried to bring back guitar strings from other countries? any problems with custom, etc?
Because guitar strings may be considered a weapon I guess?, I'm thinking of buying guitar strings in bulk from overseas as it is cheaper.

Anything can be used as a weapon. Even a trained little pinkie
IMO , if we can bring guitars through customs, I don't see why strings can't get through.
Unless the strings packaging is marked as TNT or contains nitroglycerine.

I even brought back 8 strings before from Taipei and Melbourne lolx......
