Can I use any household AC Adaptor for Boss' pedals?

I tried just now and it works, but I'm scared it will spoil it in the long run. It's 9V etc.

Anybody knows?

i doubt it's reliability in the long run. i'm using Beta Aivin's adapter. powers up to 800mA. might look minute (like the size of a Nokia adapter) but it's very cheap and reliable.

yes, generic adaptors work fine, just select the correct voltage. however, my experience with them is that they are noisy...

fix a filter capacitor to your household adaptors. ask some engineer friend or something. lol

like what subversion said, it's really very noisy. so much so that once, the boss of a jamming studio requested that i stop using the multi-purpose adaptor for my pedal. he said it was causing too much noise.
