Hi got a question, appreciate if someone helps me out..
The korg ax-10g has a line out jack so i was wondering if it is possible to connect it to a normal pair of speakers? would it sound good (jus for home use) or is an amp necessary? Also, wat other multi-fx pedals can do this?

thanx for the help

You can, but unless the speakers are active (i.e. battery/mains powered and have a built in amp) you will need to go through some kind of stereo/hifi amp to push your speakers.

I have tried with a GT2 to a pair of computer speakers and it works ok but the volume quite low

behringer x v-amp.. can connect to pc n play.. plug in to amp and play.. and juz plug headphones without amp or speakers, but naturally dun sound as good ah..

thanks for the replies, so does that mean that pluggin a guitar straight to a pair of powered speakers will work? wat's the difference between using that and using an amp?

I tried that before, playin my multi plugged into my hifi speakers, and the speakers cant really handle the signal well, as it tends to break up/distort, even if i play clean. Guitar amps on the other hand are built to handle the frequency range of the guitar.

It would be good if you can go through a pre-amp ... or unless the speakers are active speakers .... coz Speakers needs Amplifiers to boost the signals so that the sound can be projected. Some effects comes with an inbuilt pre-amp ... i'm not sure about Korg ax-10 though ... a pre-amp gives you an extra boost that simulates the sounds of amplifiers ie: 5150, jmp 10, fender deluxe, etc.

But on a personal note ... i would prefer to plug my effects through a guitar amplifier and projected to the system through microphone. Coz a mic give's a closer characteristics of the guitar than through line out. Best if you can have a pre-amp .... If you feel rich enough .... invest in one. You can also get very good sounding just with pedals ... in fact, it's all about tone adjustments and the way you play ... the rest are merely luxury.
