Can a Fuel Tank Jr power a MXR EQ10?

Hi guys,

just wondering if its possible for the MXR EQ10 to run at 18v @ 120mA instead of its original adaptors 18v @ 150mA.

Thanks!

Yup I know that.. What I was wondering was, because the MXR EQ10 runs off its own adapter at 150mA at 18v, whereas the Fuel Tank Jr can only provide a 120mA current at 18v, so would like to know if the MXR EQ10 can operate at a lower current.

Thanks anyway gsonique:)

I've used the 10 band eq with a one spot at 9v (daisy chained with the rest of my pedals) and it works so if that helps.

Don't know whether the pedal will power up with a lower than what its rated current though.

thanks for the tip.. Ive got a Belcat PST-10, tried powering the EQ-10. The lights on the MXR EQ-10 lights dimly when powered on 9v but at 12v it seems to work the same as 18v. Can't detect any changes in tone as well.

Just tried power the EQ-10 with a fuel tank jr,
and just in case anyone asks in the future.

It works! MXR EQ-10 can run at 18v(120mA) or 12v(works perfectly) or 9v(works but lights are dim)..
