Buying a Keyboard

doesn't the motif already have very nice e-piano sounds? unless you're looking for like, 'authentic' and 'less processed' type of sound..

yes the motif es has bloody good sounds. I'm spoilt by yamaha. but nothing like playing piano or even elctric piano on a weighted keyboard.

that's why id fancy one. actually i should have jus gotten the es8. solved my story. i jus tot it be too large but then again as if i gig. so no big deal there.

y cant there b 1 which is not too heavy, weighted keys, but got brass, synthpad sounds too.

mebbe the new MO8 is the clue. Then again I'm not a rich man.

Anyone got an ES8 to trade with my ES7? haha

Well, JazzFish, you are not very far off track and you could be having a great setup by getting an additional decent 88 key weighted kybd. It may well be a good thing that you did not have only the ES8 coz can you imagine playing most of the other instruments expressively with weighted keys? Seriously, for me, the "kick" is not there.

Better still, add another WX5 to top it off!

My baby has arrived!!!!!! :)

Took some time getting it up (putting the stand together et al), but it was sweet after! And it's good that it comes with speakers cos I don't have to worry about patching sound together.

Just wish my room acoustics were better....Guess that's where the headphones come in too :) But at least the fingers are getting down to it now :)

Thanks y'all for all the tips!! :))
