Aniwaes..

got interested in guitars 2 weeks back and got mi friend to teach me some stuff

which really isn't much at all.

so..

i wish to purchase a guitar for myself so i can start practicing (:

after browsing the forums for 2 days

threads after threads of buying guitars and all

many recommended going to 77guitars

so the issue here is after reading all many of the threads i then realize that

even if the models the same the sound maybe different for the better or the

worse so... how am i suppose to chose a guitar when i got no idea

how to play it at all :(

can i ask the sales person for help or something?

(::

i just bought my first electric guitar as well
i should think u're referring to an electric guitar?

if u're still not sure if u're gonna be hooked on the guitar for a long time, u could consider some starter packs i guess

but if u're sure u're gonna be playing the guitar for the next 5 yrs u might wanna consider a higher end beginner guitar around the $400-$600 range. Can consider buying 2nd hand stuff too!

i'd think u shuld start out with a guitar without a whammy bar ^^
ask yur guitar playing fren to go with u....
or....i guess just ask the staff for help....take down notes....make sure u feel comfortable with the guitar and ask around here =)

just my 2 cents worth from a beginner's viewpoint ^^

hahaha asking mi fren wont work

hes a lazy fk hahaha

aniwaes..

i was thinking of getting a higher end one

money wise i think getting a starter pack would be a waste

o and yes a electric one (:

u can probaly get a HSS strat for the versatility than amp can get a vox AD-15 or AD-30...than pedals mayb can put on hold if u dun hav enough left cos the AD has some good high gain tones well that is wad i wld do

the pedals i do not mind getting another time

the 1.5k is like a rough estimate of sorts?

i got nice parents (:

roland cube 30x is not bad too ^^

goes for around $380 at swee lee i think

doesn't need pedals like the vox too

if you engage in lots of drive/ distortion, it is recommended you get a humbucking guitar. for blues stuff, a single coil in there would be preferred. some recommendations:

Ibanez SA260

Fender Std HSS

**What kinda amp size/ wattage do you prefer?

the fender seems nice (::::

the watts all this i also not sure , all looks the same to me

the cube 30x is also like a vox AD series amps...it can model amps...it has different types of drives...the ibanez sa is nice too...if im not wrong they r below 1k or around there...a HSS strat mayb is around 1.2k +- i tink
