HI. i need help in buying a chorus pedal.
i need one that has a clear-cut sweet sounding tone.

my frens have recommended
-rocktron tsunami chorus.
-h2o delay/chorus pedal.
-boss ce-2.

hmm. what can u guys recommend?

thanks in advance! =)

What you described isn't very ... well, its very vague and open to interpretation. What's "sweet sounding"? "Clear-cut" means hi-fi? Less warm? More subtle?

Why don't you head to youtube and pick a clip or two, that best showcases the chorus sound you like?

What's your budget anyway?

i would recommend the tsunami chorus, sounds heavenly,
i have the ce-2, its not really that strong, rather transparent but nice..
the h20 i heard that the footswitch always have problem
just try the tsunami for urself.. :)

btw tsunami's price should be just nice
tsunami - price around 150-170, size slightly big, tone very nice
ce-2 - expensive but have high resale value and discontinued, tone not bad, got vintage mojo, wont spoil fast or wont spoil at all
h2o - slightly expensive, not really high resale value, footswitch open have problems..

peah000, you have to be clear and sure.

Two ways:

1) Listen, listen, listen
2) Buy and try

(1), Google up all those above mentioned choruses from every website you can find. Youtube, manufacturer's website, guitarists' sites, etc

(2), Still can make your mind up? Then pick something you find enjoyable and try. This is the step for guitarists who are very clear about what they want but they need the real life experience.

There's no need to be sorry btw, just trying to save you a little $.

hmm what i did for my research was just go youtube and search for the pedal name.
i did for my research on metal sounding pedals like mt2 and so on.
sure got come out companies or ppl demonstrating the pedal. for my case, yes.
just giving some pointers, well if u have not done it yet. =))

thanks bro. but i've done that. haha. its just that i tink i havent heard enough of the chorus pedals and the variety of sounds yet. haha.

however, the tsunami chorus is really tempting me..

I aint got a mic or a D.I box to record.. :???:
You can try it at a store though! Ebenex is uber close to my place..
Super GAS, pop in to try then buy.. Haha

the H2o is really nice....thick and lush sounding....they even use the discountinued BBD chips that are found in the boss DMs. However they have reliability issues i agree. I hope the new V2 pedal series they would have solved that problem already.

anw guys. thanks for all ur help.
i bought myself the rocktron tsunami chorus at ebenex.
woohooo! sounds heavenly. hahah.

and i saw the v2 designs. kinda sleek man! hah.
