i was juz wondering which lp was better...planning to get 1 soon but still cant make up my mind on which 1 to get, feel free to give comments abt both so i can make up my mind haha :D

I feel that in terms of workmanship, Burny is better. They tend to hold their value better. But well, that means a 2nd hand Epi will also be normally cheaper than a 2nd hand burny.

There's always that elusive goldtop P90's Epi LP that I like very much however. :smt002

lifehouse is right. burny has a better resale value and the workmanship is better. but the best thing is to try it out yourself. do note that there are MIK and MIJ versions of burny, epiphone and tokai. of course the MIJ ones are the one to go for, but if you are on budget, the MIK ones are also quite decent.

burny sold in yamaha are MIK. if looking for MIJ version check this place out, this is a local seller:

Tokai can be found in davies and epi is in swee lee. happy researching!

ok thx 4 e info..if i get a burny wad do i need 2 change the pickups? or are they good enough..i usually play stuff tt are soft to abit rock wad pickups should i use if i needa change dem pls gimme sum tips thx

the MIJ version pickups have excellent tone. there is really no need to change. i really recommend that you try it out yourself. however the MIK versions are decent, but i am sure you will grow out of it...

e-mail the guy at loneeurope@yahoo.com. i went to try it out and didn't buy in the end (at least no yet). he has absolutely no fuss about it. doesn't pressure you. nice guy.

yeah, used a lawsuit burny before.. my brudder is selling those.. comparable man.. the sound, weight, worksmanship, gosh.. the dancing flames on the finishing..

yeah... try a burny or tokai... before trying an epip.. you will see the diifference.. unless your epip is those old old ones that are not made in korea (are there any??)

if u can find a first year MIK epiphone lp, its pretty good also, juz got a chance to play one this week... the stock pups were wonderfully sweet sounding and the body is real heavy unlike the new ones.
Too bad wasnt able to buy it :(

yah, the old epiphone is also pretty good. you will probably have to hunt for it in the 2nd hand market. even better still if you can get your hands on the MIJ epiphone. but be prepared to pay like $1500 or more for it.

it's equivalent will be a MIJ Burny or Orville by Gibson.
