Ok fellow softies, I just downloaded a video which consists of 2 iso image file, 4.4gb each. And i gt 2 DVD empty discs (4.7gb each) on my hand nw and im trying to clear some space on my com so im wondering do i need any programs to burn the iso images onto my empty dvd? (im quite new to burning cds and stuff btw)

Thx a lot in advance.

iso's are CDs in "software" format. they're also known as CD Images.

if like you said they're "DVD images" ,if you wanna preserve them in its original ISO then just go ahead and burn it as a DATA DVD. if wanna playback on dvd players then "burn the image" as Video DVD.

Thx for the link bro, but i have another problem now. Y is it tt when i put the empty disc inside my disk drive and the driver cannot read the empty dvd and it states that there are no disc in the dvd drive? But when i tried to put DVDs that i bought from stores in the same disk drive, it is able to work. Thx

what brand of DVD writer are you using? that's shit if it only reads its own brand.

i'm using LG dvd writer + imation / verbatim brands blank dvds.

Mayb your empty discs' formats aren't supported? Not all optical drives that support writing to DVD-R support DVD+R. Yeah and normally we'd "burn as image", it's a 1:1 replication (mirror) of the disc which it was copied from, hence "image".

yeap I heard if your cpu's really old , the dvd writer's old, it can't support some DVD-R / +r thingy.

so my call : get a new dvd writer, it's very affordable now.

Thx for the advice guys. but I think I will wait a few days more till i get my laptop and try it dere. Cheers! =)
