Bringing Your Guitars Overseas and Back Again

if you lock it, they'll break it. as far as i remember (but thats US not sure about here)

just stuff newspaper and all, or bubblewrap or something, fragile stickers dont work with machines. or people throwing bags around.
 
johnny, I've checked my e. guitar in a cheapo hardcase before, and I was fortunate that the guitar came out unscathed.

however, I wouldn't do it again, especially if the guit were expensive. I'd either go with an ATA flightcase, or fedex/UPS/DHL it.

I don't trust the 'Fragile' stickers they use on passenger planes...
 
yeah KennethC's opinion is right. It doesnt work even if you covered the entire case/box/bag with fragile stickers. the people can be careful (which they arent most of the time) but the machinery that does the baggage cant quite see that.

i think ATA flightcases are the best option. even when shipping.
