Breakbeat Theory: Live Drum n' Bass

good stuff! love the beat and its variations. and oh, i hear strings and synths.. all coming from the guitar? beri nice!

Tell your guitarist to dress appropriately - he looks like a loafer and plays like one - totally embarrissing!

WTF? What exactly is appropriate dress for a drum and bass live band? Maybe an arse hat like the one you're wearing.

Looking at it - the keyboard-sounding guitarist-wannabe, I humbly suggest either a double-bass or a bass-drum! Or maybe stack about 10 tom-toms around him.

Dude! Live music is an experience. It's like going to a football match and you expect and want to see skill, speed, aggression, agility, execution, accuracy, etc etc etc. When some or all of these happen, you feel great.

You don't go to a football match expecting a ballerina to turn up, or worse yet to a gig that's supposed to be hip and then see a mutant guitarist dressed up like a golfer!

golfing attire is pretty hip...

DUH! That's too hip even for hip-hop. Perhaps wait around for this sort of golfing fashion to swing by again, sometime in the future. But me thinks the pirate-look will come around first. Off course, you heard it first, here!

Poor bro RR bro, his band and his music kena slammed by the music AND fashion police. So poor thing... Lai, I sayang...

breakbeat theory need to get some polo shirts and pop em collars up like bloody fools... oh and they'd need some neon Crocs too.

breakbeat theory will be a force to be reckon with!

till then.... its just a band with a sorry ass band with a "mutant guitarist dressed up like a golfer"!!!!

Ahhh, and I've not actually gone into the part where the "mutant guitarist dressed up like a golfer"!!!!,,,, plays a single chord for like,,,, a minute or more???? Bloody great fret work there. In no time, he'll be the first guitarist in the world to wear out the wood on the neck before the frets go!!!!

IMO, great concept and if you read my earlier post, within the same thread, I kinda dig this sort of thing. I actually did something similar back in the 90's, in my jam-packed bedroom. ;-). BUTT! One chiord for a minute, if not more??? Dressed like a 9-year old at his first day at little golf school, but at a D&B live act????????????????????

SG music needs better stuff than this. If they actually performed at an arty-farty place perhaps ... . But at the House of Rock! What are these people made of ???

But I think bumping age-old threads is a no-no. I also feel that local musicians should be more professional in their attitudes. It's not about YOU but it's about the music and the audience. There is only a handful, figuratively speaking, but perhaps even less, literally speaking, today, a group of international renowned musicians that can actually do what they want and yet be able to hold a crowd within their enclosed palm(s).

Bro AgY should know this sort of things what! Especially when he's working with the B-Qs. Bro AgY, do send them my regards to the two bros. If possible, uncle Roland and uncle Haffidz will come for their album launch/gig.

So let's get real. Fressing up as golfers, and 9-year old ones at that, with polo t-shorts tucked out, flabby tummy in tow, and playing a single chord for as long as the PAP has been in power, is ridiculous.

Cool concept that'll work at certain venues but it needs more to get things going, to make things work.

Thanks for the invite bro. Unfortunately, coffee excites my bowels. :D

I'm sure the gig will be a blast. I doubt if I can it BUT stranger things have happened.

Cheers
