branded guitar?

Preferred brands are definitely in everybody's mind.
But personally as long as a guitar looks good, sounds good, feels good, why not?

brand doesnt really matter to me..as long as the guitar is good..and i like every bit about it..why care about the brand?

i guess as with most consumers, our idea is that brand = quality. which sometimes isn't true.
we've all heard stories where Gibsons, Am Fenders etc are all made in US where the guitars are supposed to be superior. But it isn't always necessarily true.
The novice consumer will always look for the Brand as a way of determining quality. And for most of the time, they do get a good guitar for the high-quality brand that they buy.
But it isn't always the case with seemingly low-quality brands. I've noticed some Squiers, low-end Ibanezs and old Epiphones to be of high quality. However, the noob consumer in me doesn't know better and strays away from these brands.
Having said that, I tend not to look at 1st hand guitars at all. I've learnt from a lot of internet sources that some particular periods of particular brands are really very good, and i try to spot these guitars nowadays.

referring to thor, squier n epiphone,somehow their quality are getting better and better yeah?
but for gibson n fender,they still rock dude,for me brand=quality,otherwise they wont be recognised worldwide, y most of the superstars we know use gibson,fender and ibanez instead of tokai,aria or any other brand =)

they are good brands with qualities to match, but endorsement fees also do play a big part in their being used by superstars.reyrey said:
