Bought a Maestro ED-3 @ Zen Guitarwerkz

clearly you don't like the way its blemished portions appear to you and are posting looking for some justification about an issue that only you would be able to settle on, wheather you're able to let the blemishes slide or not, is entirely up to you.

saying that you LOVE your purchase more just because you had a +1 (sorta), is really sad. :(

what if i told you that you shouldn't have bought a b-stock without knowing exactly whats wrong with it, cosmetic or workmanship, it's something you should be able to deduce for yourself when you were trying it out, and now your stuck with a $399 B stock guitar when you could've looked around more and prolly found something "legit" and putting the $399 into something bigger.

would you feel like you made the wrong decision to make the purchase? or are you still happy that you like the way the guitar plays (assuming it plays proper) and saved a whole bunch of moneh, because Thats what really matters.

and guys, I think my guitar is having high action which prevents me from pressing the string till it touch the fretboard. Which means the string's tension is really high around the 1st, 2nd and 3rd fret. Need some advice guys, is it normal like this or do I need to make it to low action? Sorry don't know too much about action:confused:

which was why I asked why you bought a b-stock.
and said that since you're happy with the sound, you should just stick with it.
but you keep trying to change it cosmetically.
so you don't like it entirely huh.

Bring it for a setup and your string action should be comfortable enough.

I'm happy with the sound yea. Of course it there's a way to change that appearance, why not?

Hmm, I think i will have to make my finger more rough. If there's still problem with it, then maybe will have to bring it for a setup. But I have heard that for strumming, it is better for a high action because it will prevent the buzzing sound. Is it true?

Anyhow, thanks Zesn for your time!

Just enjoy your guitar and play the heck out of it. I'm not much of a acoustic player but from my limited experience with them, they do seem to buzz more at the first few frets. I suppose its set up this way to let the strings ring out more, as opposed to a solidbody which has a pickup and amplifier to help in pushing out its sound.

That's what I think lah. And you don't have to agree with everything we say, we could damn well be wrong! In any case, that's what a forum is for; ask, learn, share. Some might choose to use it as a vehicle to display their anti-social behaviour or traumatic upbringing, but I find the bulk of us here are pretty ok.

Have a good week ahead, folks!

sometimes better to just ignore stuff or make excuses la. my first acoustic truss rod broken but i added in a pickup already so i couldn't do a one to one exchange or anything. wasted 250 bucks. just said nvm i like the sound and it served me well. 6 years later now with my 7 string with so many dents and paint chips on it i'm still lying to myself by saying nvm the dents and chips and dings makes me love my guitar more. in the words of ris low, "something that shouts me" i sincerely feel happier looking at the paint chips.. you can thank society for making our generation pretty apathetic to anything too.

thanks for your reply. But sometimes, I will have to learn to accept it.

Of course I did not know what's B-Stock when i first bought it. Nevertheless, I have gained lots of experience. I'm just going to accept my guitar as it is and make full use of it!

tsk, why you believe what everybody say.. we're just pulling your leg, actually b-stock is short for best-stock la!! just needs a simple setup by a pro and it'll play and sound freakin amazing
