Boss metalcore? Or ehx metal muff?

hey guys i need help... im in a dillemma to choose between these 2 pedals.. the type of music that i play include august burns red, as i lay dying, as blood runs black... mainly metalcore.. so i need your opinion.. thanx

Perhaps the Boss Metalcore, it is more crunch to my ears. The EHX Metal muff has a more 'scooped' tone so I'd render it more suitable for death metal.

Just my humble opinion so don't take it as die-hard facts. There's always the equalizer settings to play around with.

Just to add my 2 cents worth, I've tried both (used to own a Metal Muff, too!) and I enjoyed my Metal Muff greatly.....though on some amps the sound might be too thin. Tried it out on a Roland Jazz Chorus and it sucked!

Then again.......if you'd want to make it versatile, use a EQ pedal alongside with the pedal, IMO.

Currently, I am using an Metal Muff. For me, it has been great for all the time I've used it but I'm searching for something even better. Be aware that the EHX Metal Muff has a bit of fuzz characteristic.
