I've owned the ME-50 before, and its definitely digital. Not saying that it sounds bad,,..i mean the way it is IS digital...and I loved it for its simplicity.
However I have A/B ed the Rat distortion emulation with my PROCO Rat, and I must say that the simulation is spot on...Did not try with the other distortions though...
and their simulation of some effects are analogued voiced too, thats prob why there's the dispute i guess...
The modulations are very nice and usable, but the wah IMHO is not that usable.Use the expression pedal for volume control or whammy, it'll be of more use then.
It comes with a tuner and has very user friendly tweakable controls-I have gigged with it many times before and even though I've been drunk on stage(always), I had managed to use it well(tweaking on the go) without any glitch,
All in all, if you are looking for something to have fun with on the go,, and you are not infected with GAS yet, this pedal is definitely worth it.Its an all-in one.
