Boss GT-8 vs Zoom G9.2tt

hi guys, i'm kinda in a dilemma over which processor to get. both have their pros and cons. and i feel i wont be using the z-pedal of g9.2tt. but the sound of the gt-8 sounds better to me. i hope to gather some opinions of these 2 pedals to help me make my decision. thanks guys.

I would pick the GT 8 if I have to choose. Nicer tones but the G9.2tt is not too bad also.

OKAY! first off!!


Do you like the sound of BOSS/ROLAND Pedals and Amps?
I know i do! and they include some of my favoutire COSM effects like the 3 R-Fier modes that are only found on the BOSS. Also they have that Dynamic Sensing effect that if you pick harder or softer, your effect will vary.

For the Zoom, i've went thru all the samples and Alot of those samples had "Experimental" type sounds that i didnt think i would be using. but there was ONE sample that really blew me away. On the other hand, you have 2 1/2 Expression pedals built in which i think are Very very good to hand. Also these Have Different Amp simulations such as the ENGL.

Finally, the BOSS GT-8 seems to be extinct, but the zoom wont be going anywhere soon!!


PS: do let me know if your able to find Firsthand BOSS GT-8s!!

So anyone can recommend the one that has the better tone and vesatility for playing metal/ rock lead tones? I know the Zoom has tubes inside, and has usb interface which is missing from the boss gt-8 but is the tone from the Zoom better? Looking for good lead sounds which must not be thin. Anyone has any comments?
