Boss GT-8 or POD XT LIVE

If you try both multi FX at shop, you will not get a full picture.
You need to spend a few days to understand full potential of the multi effect units. All you can test at shop is, use preset and tweak; presets are usually sucked in all multi FX units.

They both are good but Pod XT comes with patch editing software and recording via USB. If you are after recording and easy patch editing, consider getting Pod XTL.
GT8 effects are better than Pod XTL in my opinion while amp modelings are subjective to personal taste. I am sure you can get very decent sounds from both units.

But my vote goes for Digitech GNX series. Get either GNX3K or GNX4 because of their hypermodel technology, which you can’t find it on other multi FXs. Basically you can create whole lots of new amp models by mixing all sort of amps and virtually can produce any distortion sound that you want.

They all are in comparison price range.

i agree. Digitech GNX is good.
to me, it beats GT-8 and PODxt live.
i use my old GNX2 for recording ideas on pc and its sounds great.
great for live too. i've tried boss, line6 and vox and they never convince me for a change.

i hope Zoom G9.2tt will be better than GNX.

i'd go with Boss GT-8..boss has nv disappointed musicians..i've tried the GT-8 at swee lee and it is fabulous...if i wasnt short of cash i'd bought the GT-8..the GT-8 comes with a free Gigbag too while the PODXT Live,u have to purchase it seperately..i'm currently using a KORG AX3000G..love it and use it for my church service

it all depends on what amp u using also.. u haf to use this multiefx thru full range systems.. not your normal guitar amps or you will haf a hard time gettin the sounds you haf.. i own the podxt and gt8 before.. personally i feel that the gt8 sounds more raw and the wah is nice.. but i have a hard time gettin the sounds i like.. its very complicated and feature pack. you can haf 4 eqs.. you can edit uyour effects chain.. there are tone modifiers to get the speaker emulation.. effects pack and all.. but its juz too much for me.. i sold it in the end.. too much to tweak.. u need to have lots of patience.. and not like me.. lol.. after readin forums about pedals and stuff.. im always tempted to sell gt8 to get those..lol.. but at last i still sold it and i dont regret..

between podxt and gt8.. i think ill get pod.. its easier to get nice sounds and recordin is real quick and easy.. no matter how ppl praise about the pedal or say how bbad the pedal is.. u gotta juz listen and go out on the other ear.. go try out den say.. or like most of us.. buy sell buy sell buy sell.. get one at luther classified.. den if dun like den sell lo.. i did this to podxt ax1500g gt8.. lol..
