Hi guys,

I'm thinking of getting a multi-effects board and I have heard good things about the Boss GT 6 and the Pod XT Live... But I'm sort of on the fence now... was hoping to hear some views from you all to help me finalise my decision... Hopefully there would be some good bargains during the Christmas season! :D

Thanks!

I'd say gt-6 because you get a pedal, so you can play with the wah manually, and not auto-wah.... why not check out the Boss Me-50, its smaller and newer and a lot lighter, and you can run it with AA batts, if you doing a gig or something...

i'd say pod xt live.. but do get the seperate expression pedal for manual wah.. however.. its much more expensive.. so if you're cash strapped.. go woth gt-6.. or like what flyingbirdman said.. get the me-50.. cheaper and value for money too.

podxt currently retailing at 450..at city music,
both are gd effects...other than effects what else u hv in mind?
home recording perhaps?

ps...if u like the pod , u can wait for a like a mth for the podxt live (floorboard version)but i think its more xpensive..or hunt for a used product..

IIRC, there is an expression pedal for manual wah/volume. It's basically PODXT with a shortboard inbuilt. I'll go with Line 6 for the future possible upgrades.

Thanks Guys...

I just called up City Music and they told me that the POD XT Live would only be available in Mid-Dec for about $600... price wise, the POD certainly looks very very attractive... but I've heard the BOSS GT-6 in action before, it's awesome!
