BOSS EFFECTS

Long long ago, when there was no DC Brick, no Pedal Power, no looper, there was a thing that do it all... all in the size of a boss pedal

how how how, I'm leaving the Boss club and clearing most of my pedals :( .

but still, all the Boss info that I've read over the months is still stuck in my head  .

I might start collecting again if I bump into the holy SP-1.

The PSM is NOT a power supply.

You are right to say it is like a DC Brick (which in itself, is NOT a power supply), in that - you have an Adaptor that is your power supply linked to the PSM, which just carries the power along, that gives you an option to link more daisy chains.

You could call it a primitive looper though... the LS-2 is what a modern, full-feature looper is.

In anycase... its usage is... uh... irrelevant.

Relax bro - I have never said it is a power supply, and you have quoted me right:

The PSMs help to distribute regulated power to all PSA/ACA Boss pedals. I am just here to help answer some query about the pedals I have, cool it bro!

Ripper dude, I'm cool. Dont' worry bro. ;)

Its jsut, I don't like to "talk" like that lah... all the "bro", "dude", " :D :) :( :o 8O :? 8) :x :P   etc etc", its a personal dislike of mine. So I "sound" serious.

In anycase, do note...

You say that the "PSMs help to distribute regulated power..."

Did you mean to say that the PSMs do the power regulating? I dont' recall seeing any description of such a function...

basically i play old school stuff.my les paul ultra has got SD APH-1 on neck and bridge(slash config.) and lp studio with EMG 81 and 85.so its metal and rock

haha I still have a secret stash of mint vintage boss pedals that I wouldnt sell unless I find a guitar that I die die must buy. piling up a collection sure isnt easy but its worth it in the end.

if you are talking about just using boss pedals, I suggest buying a dirt cheap DS-1 and mod it. the key rule of boss pedals is, never attempt to mod a Japan made unit! thats blasphemy  !

relinquish relinquish, every BOSS pedals thread sure have your name inside. why why? better leave the BOSS club soon, explore something else!

I qte like the Boss Flanger sound... am waiting to be able to get it. Generally, I like Boss pedals and practically all I use are Boss, except for an Ibanez TM5, the Crybaby Wah and a DOD Octaver.

The ones I have are the CH2 chorus, TR2 tremelo, DD3 delay, OD2 overdrive which are basic sounds/effects. I used to use the Boss ME-10 (yeah it's old, but has nice flanging and phaser sounds) as a complement to my stomp boxes. Had an old DS, but didn't like the sound.

So far they seem to work pretty well with my setup, altho as I said, I'd like a Flanger or Phaser, or even a booster pedal like Ibanez Tubescreamer. Not too sure about the BLues Driver tho...

nickyseow: I've a ps-3 for sale in my thread on the buy/sell.

metalella_eh: cos I have things to say with regards to boss pedals what. how can I just sit here quietly and pbserve thread like that  ? btw, thought you studying? bluff leh.

christoh: I'm sure you meant the CH-1 right? I havent heard of the CH-2 chorus

actually to be honest la, what is this thread for? general boss pedal discussion? its not heading in any direction from what I'm reading thus far.

I have the blues driver, can do mild overdrive to abit of fuzz, but abit shrilly at higher gain settings but i thnk u can mod them. I'm a fan of boss pedals, they are affordable, reliable, user friendly
