anyway, back to the topic. i think the cs3 will suffice lah. haven't ventured into the realm of boosters yet. is it similar to just adding more volume? some people tell me they use an eq with a boost in volume as a booster.

am i grasping the concept right..?

Well, generally a EQ pedal can boost too. Well, you have to know whether you wana a clean boost or dirty boost. If you like thetones you have now, but want more, a clean boost will do. If you wana color your tone or add more gain, a dirty boost is for you.
