i'm building my pedalboard now.. os just need some advice on howto connect the pedals together.. and if i use a ts7 as a booster for my ubermetal, do i put it before or after my ubermetal in the signal chain?

preferably put after the ubermetal.. well thats what i do.. maybe you could try experiment with the positions first.. for me if i were to put my booster before the ubermetal, the feedback can kill... hope this helps

oh.. ok.. i tired it before my pedal.. no feedback whatsoever... tired with both a lp with upgrade4d pickups and my rg with emgs... no feedback...and not much difference in sound..

Why don't you put your TubeScreamer b4 ur UberMetal & set the volume/gain on your TS7 to be abit higher than ur UberMetal :)

ts7 before ubermetal, set ur ubermetal gain to a desirable level, not too much because you want to increase the gain with the booster, not add noise. set ur ts9 to very low gain but set a high level

thats where you're wrong. ;)

Boosting will increase gain. Whether to cut or not, its still increasing gain.

is it gain, in terms of volume or drive?

because the way i use it, using my ts7 as a booster, is to set the drive to zero and tweak the tone and level. i play hi gain stuff like metal and such, and any more gain will cause the amp to feedback like mad. :p

Actually, mamemo, try this.

Dial in a bit of drive with your TS7 and get your TS7 to be on unity gain (equal volume) on CLEAN. So when you switch it on, your clean channel will have a bit of TS7 dirt but the volume is roughly the same.

Now, take your main distortion, whatever it is, and lower the gain by a few notches.

Run your guitar to ts7 to main dist to amp.

Adjust your ts7's gain level to taste, make sure you maintain the volume level as unity gain.

Now you have 2 gain stages, plus its likely you have less noise.
